Two new Quentin Blake Christmas cards for 2008 The first was specially commissioned and is sold in aid of the House of Illustration. It's available to buy through the House of Illustration The second was designed to mark Survival International’s 40th anniversary. The card depicts tribal children on the back of a reindeer, and is being sold as part of Survival’s popular Christmas card range. Quentin Blake said, ‘I have been a supporter of Survival International for a very long time and have always been very impressed by their work for threatened tribal peoples around the world. I am delighted to help by designing their 40th anniversary Christmas card.’ Survival was founded in 1969, following an article by Norman Lewis in the Sunday Times Magazine about the genocide of Brazilian Indians.
